hi, let's talk about the survey
i understand that only few people responded it barely represent the 1% of the population. but its something real. I can atleast see the pattern. so who responded? most of the respondents were young women 18 to 34, living in urban areas of pakistan: karachi, lahore, or islamabad. almost all of them are educated holding degrees and making over PKR 100K a month in household income. we got plenty of male responses as well so overall its a good distribution i'd say. they're online shoppers.
no surpise but 84% said they shop rarely/monthly. the number is interesting despite having the monopoly and international backing by one of the ecommerce gaint in pakistan. lets move on
pakistan bec of its mostly youth population shop on their phone 94%. lets talk what people like to shop the most. 80% responsdents said that they mostly shop only for clothes and accessories. Beauty products comes after that at 32% and finally the next big chunk was electronics at 24%
cash on delivery still rules 82% would rather pay at the door than trust prepaid. but here's the twist: 62% said they'd try prepaid if the payment is secure.
no trust? the trust deficit in pakistan mainly seems to be bec of fake product discriptions, delayed deliveries
71% rate platforms with demos a four or five in trust. 68% want real demo clips "show me the exact shade"
returns feel like a real pain 76% said simpler returns would get them shopping more often.
the one thing i was cuurious to know is this... 58% discover new products on tiktok or instagram. meaning people tend to shop more if they see real people showing real stuff. instead of boring static images
thanks for being honest. we're building this together.
